Molly has two beautiful boys. We are not yet sure of the sire. These boys have breeder restrictions and will only be available as pets.
Astra + Mario and/or Harley – DOB August 2, 2026 – The “Hidden Garden” Litter
Astra had a tough labor with her first puppy getting stuck in the birth canal. Although I was able to help get him out at 2:30 a.m., he only took a couple of breaths despite our best efforts to revive him. He was a parti sable chocolate male.
After that difficult first delivery, Astra understandably had a long whelping pause. I listened to the babies’ heart rates with a Doppler ultrasound to ensure everyone sounded okay, but one heart rate was starting to drop after several hours, so we headed to Colorado Veterinary Services Group for their 24-hour emergency care and reproductive services. The second boy was trying to come down in a folded position, and so he was repositioned. After unsuccessful medical management, it was determined that a C-section was required. We’re glad we did that, as the remaining puppies were even larger than the first stuck puppy we lost. Unfortunately, the second stuck male only lived a couple of days.
Given that two of the puppies appear to be brindle, it’s likely that Harley is the sire, rather than Mario, though the clear red girl could have been sired by either male. These puppies will be on hold for a couple of weeks to ensure they are thriving and to determine coat types. Each puppy has a 25% chance of being a smooth-face Mi-Ki. We will know when they are 14 days old.
Astra has had a difficult time after her C-section and did end up at the ER vet a second time for a uterine infection. She is responding well to antibiotics and other treatments. The girls have continued to gain and are on probiotics while mom is on antibiotics. Because of Astra’s difficulties, we may not continue to use her for breeding in the future. Therefore, we will be evaluating these girls carefully to carry on her legacy.
Annie + Pepe and/or Yoshi – Possibly due approximately August 19, 2026
We attempted to pair Pepe and Annie together but we aren’t sure they were successful with anything other than a slip tie. There is a chance she was paired with Yoshi before we realized she was in heat, however. Only time will tell if there was a successful pairing, and we will give her an ultrasound in about a week to determine success. Both males carry smooth, so there is a 50% chance that a successful breeding will produce smooth-face pups. They can produce black, brindle, cream, and blue puppies. If it’s Yoshi, they can produce the same, except they can also produce sables and black and tans (and any of those varieties in blue.)
Chaina + Heath Bear – Due approximately August 20, 2026
Chaina and Heath bear can only produce black or chocolate puppies. They will all be long coats. They will all carry chocolate and tan points, and possibly clear red and smooth. Chaina also jumped the gate and paired herself with Flint at the end of her cycle. We were trying to do a pairing with Flint and Tiffany Blue. Ah the joys of planning! Flint and Chaina can only produce blacks and brindles. Any puppies from their pairing will represent both frozen lines.
Tiffany Blue + Flint – Due approximately August 25, 2026
Tiffany Blue is only a little over 4 pounds, and we weren’t sure she would accept a suitor. She did decide she liked the 4.5-pound Flint, but only for one time. We’re hopeful that it will be enough to produce at least two puppies as singletons can be problematic. They can produce blacks, blues, brindles, sables, blue fawns, black & tans, and blue & tans. Their puppies will all be long coats.
Graycie + Heath Bear – Due approximately August 30, 2026
We liked this pairing so much that we repeated it. They can produce long coats and have a 25% chance of producing smooth-face Mi-Kis.
Rosalee + Harley – Due approximately September 9, 2026
RosaLee & Harley were paired for a chance to get chocolates, blacks, black & tans, chocolate & tans, brindles, or creams. Their puppies will all be long coats.
Umber + Max – due approximately September 11, 2026
Umber and Max can produce chocolates, tan points, cream/white, and sable long-coat puppies.
Ayla + Niko – due approximately September 12, 2026
Ayla and Niko can only produce black or black and white puppies. They have a 25% chance of producing smooth-face puppies. This is a combination of rich show pedigrees, and we’re excited for their debut as parents. All of the puppies will carry clear red and may carry blue and tan points.
Planned Litters and Royal T Mi-Ki Goals
We are making some positive adjustments to our program to diversify genetics and continue to work towards health, temperament, and the breed standard. This may include rehoming some of our current breeding dogs this year. We have added some new lines with three new females. We’ve also added some new studs to diversify the gene pool and will try them with our existing females to see what they produce before making permanent decisions regarding whether they will stay in our program longer.
To expand our smooth-face program, our up-and-coming breeding candidates include Annie, our brindle parti smoothie, and Leia, a black & white smoothie from the frozen lines. We also kept back Ivory, a blonde smoothie who carries chocolate. Unfortunately, our Blue Whimsy’s breeding was not successful. We’ll continue her show career for now.

The Adoption Process
Royal T Mi-Kis makes every effort to ensure our puppies are matched with the right family for a lifetime of mutual enjoyment. The first step towards adopting a Mi-Ki is to fill out our adoption questionnaire (see below) which will help us understand what you are looking for in a Mi-Ki.
We’ll exchange emails, chat on the phone, or even set up a Zoom meeting to get to know each other. Next, a $500 non-refundable deposit will place you in the choosing queue. The deposit goes towards the $3,500 purchase price.
When the puppies are old enough to determine traits (usually around 4-6 weeks), established breeders will have the first choice followed by pet deposits. We will contact you when it’s your time to select a puppy. If you decide to wait for a future litter, you’ll move up in the choosing queue behind others who may have also passed.
What’s Included?
Your Mi-Ki puppy will have a veterinary examination, first shots, a microchip, dewormings, dewclaw removal (as needed), and an airline-approved carrier. We also throw in a bunch of puppy supplies to help your young Mi-Ki get off to a great start!
Our Mi-Ki puppies are started on puppy pad training. We provide you with information regarding option pet insurance to help you care for your new pet.
Puppies will be released to their new homes at around 10 weeks of age or 2 pounds. Small for gestational age or preemie puppies may need to be held for additional time. We can coordinate a puppy nanny to fly a puppy to your nearest airport for $500 plus airfare (to include an in-cabin pet ticket plus the courier’s ticket.) We do not ship puppies.
Puppies may also be picked up by their new owners from our home or Denver International Airport. Puppies should fly home on a direct flight if at all possible.
Restrictions
We are unable to facilitate young puppy adoptions to Hawaii due to the state’s rabies/quarantine regulations. Only available adult Mi-Kis or older puppies are eligible to be adopted to Hawaii if the short quarantine protocol (5 days) can be met with daily visits to the quarantine holding facility by the adoptive family.
Please note that international adoptions will require an additional $200 surcharge for extra paperwork fees, extended boarding, and vaccination requirements. Most international destinations require a rabies vaccination and puppies to be at least 16 weeks of age.
Breeding Information
Breeders looking for puppies will have to be approved by the originators of our lines before we can sell a puppy with breeding rights. Established breeders will be given priority over pet owners to ensure that breed-standard/show-quality Mi-Kis stay in the gene pool.
We reserve the right to keep a puppy for our breeding program if circumstances require it. A deposit refund or replacement puppy will be offered instead.
Breeder Requirements
Breeding rights are an additional $1,500 for approved kennels or new breeders who are willing to be mentored. Breeders agree to perform AMRA health testing recommendations and will abide by the American Mi-Ki Club Code of Ethics for breeding and responsible placement.

The parents’ pedigrees may be viewed on the Our Dogs Page to determine breeding compatibility. Any puppies sold for breeding out of Belle Amie or Jubilee lines will require approval from Barbara Teichner and/or Barbara Briggs. Additionally, any future puppies produced from these lines are contractually bound to be granted permission before selling to other breeders.
Please note that established breeder deposits will take precedence over pet picks in order to preserve the Mi-Ki gene pool – especially puppies from our frozen-sired lines. Breeders are often looking for something quite specific such as a particular color, pedigree, ear set, size, being a carrier of certain traits, and excellent conformation. Because of these preferences, chances are that most of our puppies will be going to pet
